Joshua James Dickey

After his long struggle with addiction, Josh passed away on January 5, 2017. He is survived by his mother, Sherry Dickey; his father, Jimmy Dickey and his wife Sheila; brother, Jeremy Dickey; grandmother, Betty Allison; grandfathers, Bob Smith and Jim Dickey Sr.; aunt, Laurie Smith; uncle, Darrell Dickey and his wife Tory; cousins Devin, Bubba, and Meredith; many other extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Inez Dickey and aunt, Debbie Dickey. Josh loved playing the guitar, writing songs, doing art and laughing with his friends and family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to House of Hope in Madisonville, an in-patient addiction recovery facility that does not charge for their services. (houseofhopemadisonville.com) While Josh did not win his battle with addiction, he can win through others succeeding. Visitation will be Friday, January 13, from 5pm – 8pm. The funeral is Saturday, at 11 am. Both celebrations will be held at Kingwood Funeral Home.
