

She graduated Baylor University in 1944 with a BBA. Ann would then go on to marry Tom Marsh Robinson on July 11, 1948. Tom was employed by Phillips Petroleum and they lived in Houston, St. Louis, Midland, Albuquerque, and Denver in addition to overseas in England and Germany before retiring to Kingwood in 1984. Ann worked as a bookkeeper, school secretary and substitute teacher. She enjoyed involvement in many organizations, including AAUW, Greentree Village HOA, Senior Volunteers at Memorial Hermann Northeast, DRT, DAR, and Colonial Dames 17C. She was active at Kingwood UMC and active in Sunday School, Hope Circle, and greeting.
Ann was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and was proud of her deep Texas roots, being a 3rd generation native Texan. Despite medical problems, Ann will be remembered as a strong, unselfish, and gracious lady who went out of her way to help others and never wavered in her faith in her Lord.
Ann is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother Robert Melbern. Survivors include daughter Marsha Robinson Richards and husband Bryan; grandson Jeff Richards and wife Kim; grandson Kyle Richards and fiancé Adrianne Torres; sister-in-law Sophie Melbern; nieces Jean Ann Robinson and Paula Melbern Weeks and family; nephew Bill Melbern and family; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A visitation will take place on Friday, October 25, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Kingwood Funeral Home, 22800 Highway 59 North, Kingwood, Texas 77339. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, October 26, 2013 also at Kingwood Funeral Home.
Ann will then be laid to rest at Rosewood Cemetery in Porter, Texas following the funeral service.
