

Karin Griffin, of Mainz, Germany, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. Karin was born on February 20, 1944. Karin was raised by her beloved mother, Karoline Hach. She graduated from nursing school in Germany and it was during this time that she met the love of her life, a handsome soldier, Jeffery Griffin. The two were united in marriage on July 4, 1965, and built a beautiful life together.
Karin is survived by her three loving children, Nancy (and husband Paul) Kramer, Christine (and husband Andy) Townsend, and Jennifer (and husband Chris) Sanchez. She was a doting grandmother to eight grandchildren (Alexis, Hannah, John Paul, Madison, Jack, Caroline, Christopher, and Chloe) who brought her immense joy and lovingly called her “Oma”. Karin is also survived by her half-sister Traudl (and Joachim) Ratzel, along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her husband, Jeffery Griffin, her mother Karoline Hach , and her brothers Joachim and Norbert Hach. Karin was a devoted family woman who cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. She had a passion for playing games, with Rumikub being a favorite, and enjoyed traveling, shopping, leisurely walks, and fun times spent with her “Cork Popper” friends from Oakhurst.
Known for her culinary skills, Karin was a great cook who delighted in organizing family gatherings and meals. She also had a special place in her heart for her beloved dog, Gabi, whom she adored spoiling with love and attention.
Karin Griffin will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched with her kindness, warmth, and love. May she rest in peace.
