Kathy Treadway Susholtz

Kathy Susholtz, 70, of Houston, Texas, passed peacefully on November 14, 2025. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend whose warmth, quick wit, and unforgettable sense of humor made life brighter for everyone around her.

For over 51 wonderful years, Kathy was the beloved wife of Bill Susholtz, their marriage a true example of commitment, partnership, and unbreakable love. She was the best and most devoted mother to her two daughters, Susanne and Caroline, who proudly inherited her strength, kindness, and a healthy dose of sarcasm. They like to believe they get their charm and brilliance from her too… and she probably would agree (with a smirk). She was also a proud member of The Junior League of Houston.

Kathy is survived by her loving husband, Bill Susholtz, her daughters Susanne Susholtz (Troy), and Caroline Santillan (EJ), her faithful dog Bugatti, and her sister Peggy Sefcik (Eugene). She is preceded in death by her parents, Frances Evelyn Bonner and James Treadway.

Kathy will be remembered for her feisty yet gentle spirit, her steadfast devotion to family, and her unmatched ability to bring comfort, joy, laughter, and the occasional eye roll to any room she entered. She created a home full of love and always flowers, one where family came first, where humor was required, and where everyone instantly felt welcome.

Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who loved her, and her memory will be cherished forever.

The family welcomes fresh flower donations to Unity Church for the service, or memorial gifts to the Humane Society of Houston or the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.

A Celebration of Life will be held on December 12, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Unity Church, 2929 Unity Drive, with a reception to follow.
