Keryl Kelso Chee

Keryl was born August 6, 1948 in Boise, ID to Ethel “Reggie” and Walter “Dick” Kelso. In her teen years, they moved to Seattle, WA where she graduated from Rainer Beach High School. That move sparked her wandering Gypsy Soul. She loved to travel and never stayed in one place too long. Europe was one of her favorite places, where she spent many “holiday” with her friends. Keryl called many places home, where her closest friends became family. Washington, Idaho, Colorado, Texas and American Samoa were just a few of her journeys along the way.

Keryl is survived by her 3 children, Cara Tully, Brenna Morris and her fiancé Coby Greenway, and Ryan Marshall and his wife Tammy.

Closest friends, Suzanne Urbalejo, Deidre Holland, Tabitha Clark, and Patti Yates, along with numerous cousins.

“Yia-yia” had many stories to share with her grandchildren, Cody, McKenna, Brance, Grayson, Dallas, Logan, Ashtynn, Ali, Luke, Angel, Ryan (Jr), Rocky, and Taylor (and husband, Anthony), along with 6 great grandchildren. These stories will be forever cherished and will burn bright in the minds of those told.

Though her chassis is no longer here, her journey will continue as we spread her ashes through the wild ferns, the roaring rivers, the snow-capped mountains, The Jetty of Ocean Shores, and wherever she guides us along the way.
