Kristie Ann Kelly, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, was called home by the Lord on August 14, 2025, in Houston, Texas. She was born on November 26, 1956, in Denver City, Texas, and called Kingwood home for the past 35 years.
Kristie is survived by her sons, McKee Kelly and daughter in law Amanda Kelly, and Ryan Kelly and daughter in law Makayla Kelly; her cherished grandsons Beau, Oliver, and Dalton Kelly; and her dear siblings Sherry Taylor, Linda McKee, and Jimmy McKee. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paula Francelle Gainer McKee and John D McKee.
Kristie graduated from Ardmore High School and went on to attend the University of Oklahoma, where she was a proud Boomer Sooner and a member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority. Her career in accounting spanned over three decades in the oil and gas industry, including 27 years at Plains All American and the last 6 years at Next Wave Energy Partners.
She lived life to the fullest—traveling often, laughing loudly, and loving deeply. Kristie especially loved spending time with her three grandsons, who affectionately know her as “Koko,” and she treasured every moment she shared with them.
Known for her cheerful spirit, quick wit, and generous heart, Kristie was a bright light to everyone who knew her. She collected many things over the years, but the memories she made with her friends and family were by far her favorite.
