Leon lived a simple life. He loved his westerns, milkshakes, country music and horses. He made his early life in the printing industry until 2004. He then worked for TSA until full retirement in 2015. He will always be remembered as one who had a wonderful sense of humor, a great wit and sharp as a tack. He will be deeply missed by all of his family and friends.
Leon is survived by his wife of 23 years, Eleanor "Nora / Ellie" McEnery Floyd; daughter Cheryl Shanahan and family; son Jacky Floyd and family; and son Kevin Floyd and family; sisters, Beatrice "Bea" Smith and Manda Holden. Leon also leaves a legacy of 13 grand children and 4 great grand children.
Leon was preceded in death by; daughter Amy Floyd; brother AJ Floyd, sister Christine Rollins and parents Melvin and Bessie Floyd.
A visitation and celebration of life for Leon will be held Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Kingwood Funeral Home, 22800 Highway 59 North, Kingwood, TX 77339.
