Mrs. Lila Lilly Mae Aucoin Delafosse

Lila Mae Delafosse entered into the rest of Our Lord on September 30, 2010 at the age of 81. She was born on November 1, 1928 to Themie and Elvina Aucoin. A devoted wife of 61 years, her greatest joy came from loving her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. This love for children was seen early as she taught preschool and raised a family. She later worked for many years as a “Pink Lady” at Mid County Hospital. Maw Maw as her family called her loved painting and needlework.

Lila is preceded in death by her parents, Themie and Elvina Aucoin and her sister Bernadine Peace.

Lila is survived by her husband John Roland Delafosse of Kingwood, sons, Graland Delafosse and Patrick Delafosse, Daughters Marlena Grant, Joan Sloan, and Peggy Elliott, grandchildren, Ryan, Eric, Trey, Zach, Zoe, Kaci, and Abbie Delafosse and Cliff Sloan, Dana Sloan Dill, Jana Sloan Benge, Kate and April Grant and great grandchildren Zeke and Silas Benge and Asher Dill and her brother Don Aucoin.

Visitation was held on Saturday, October 2, 2010 from 9:30AM until 10:30 AM at Kingwood Funeral Home and funeral services were held Saturday, October 02, 2010 at 10:30 AM at the Chapel of Kingwood Funeral Home with interment following at Rosewood Cemetery in Humble, Texas.
