Lillian West

She was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Carroll E. West and sister, LaVerne Stewart.

Lillian was an active member of Woodridge Baptist Church of Kingwood. She was a long time employee of New Caney School District. She most recently resided at Compassionate Home Care of Kingwood.

Lillian is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

She loved to bake pies and cakes for her family and friends. Lillian enjoyed playing cards and dominos with family and friends. She liked to travel and enjoyed hiking in many of the national parks in the United States. She was a loyal friend to many and devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to her husband, father and sister until their deaths.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Compassionate Home Care, Odyssey Hospice, members of Woodridge Baptist Church, former employees of New Caney School District and former employees of Woodland Hills Elementary School for the many acts of kindness and care they provided Lill.

Floral tributes may be sent to Kingwood Funeral Home in Kingwood, Texas.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM, Monday, October 3, 2011 at Kingwood Funeral Home followed by interment at Brookside Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
