Maple Lee Brumley
April 10, 1954 – November 17, 2019
Maple Lee Brumley, age 65, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2019. She courageously fought a litany of health issues over the last 15 years. She was born in Alexandria, Louisiana to Louis Metoyer and Lois Marshall. She lived the majority of her life in Houston, Texas. Mae loved to sew and crotchet in her spare time. She also enjoyed watching movies, shopping, eating good food, and spending time with family.
She graduated from Cashmere High School where she was a majorette and later received her training as a nurse; a profession she truly enjoyed.
Mae definitely was the strength and backbone of her family. As the eldest child, she was instrumental in her siblings upbringing. She devoted herself to looking after them even as a teen. In the midst of her own health battles, she took care of those around her and was always a listening ear for others.
Mae is survived by her three children: Jacob, Eric, Tiffany, and son-in-law Trenton. Her surviving siblings are Charles Ray, David, Joesph, Pauline and Patricia. They will miss her dearly. She was surrounded by her many grandchildren, nephews, and nieces. All of which she touched in her own way.
