Margaret Rose Stephens

Margaret married her high school sweetheart Johnny Mac where she spent 49 years building a family. She was s selfless devoted wife and mother. She made many long lasting friendships while building her career in downtown Houston. After retirement she dedicated her life to her four grandchildren. John and Margaret spent a great deal of time at the beach with their grandchildren turning them into beach bums.

With four busy grandchildren, Margaret’s Saturdays were never dull. She loved watching Cody pitch for his baseball games. Preston always heard his Grammy cheering form the sidelines at soccer. She adored watching Kailyn’s love of dance and she admired Alexis’ enthusiasm for competitive cheer leading. Not a day passed that she didn't’t talk about her grandchildren.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Valiera Burgess, and her brothers Marvin and Melton Burgess.

Margaret is survived by her husband John Stephens; her daughter Suzi Spinks and husband Randy and their children Alexis and Preston; her daughter Shae Lay and her children Cody and Kailyn and their father John; her sister Debra Agapiou and her husband LeRoy; as well as many nieces and nephews.
