Maximilian Christopher Keevill was born on October 18th, 1994 in Guildford Surrey, England. Although 3 weeks premature, he was 7 lbs and a rather tall baby. He lived in England for the first 6 months of his life until he, his Dad, and his Mother moved to Kingwood in 1995.
At that time, strangely, Max was know by his parents as their "Little Man"; strangely because as it would turn out, Max's stature exceeded that of both parents by age 12 and by 16 he was 6 feet 3 inches tall and extremely slender.
During the early years Max was mischevious. He enjoyed dancing, singing, and hiding in cupboards. This hide and seek game was something that we enjoyed together throughout his teens.
Early in life, he enjoyed both playing soccer at the YMCA and also cub scouts. His favorite part of scouting was the campouts, cooking with charcoal, then propane, and making smores on the camp fire. His cub scout troop were well renound for their ghost stories around the camp fire and he always came home exhausted and dirty. As we know scouting remained an interest for Max always and he camped all over; including the Philmont High Adventure campout in 2008 he was due to repeat this summer.
Max played soccer for many years with the YMCA, Kingwood Alliance, and Kingwood High School. One year at Kingwood Alliance he made his Dad proud by being top goal scorer. He continued to love the game on the field and on TV, but in his junior year decided to focus on his academic subjects.
Max's aptitude an interest for knowledge were endless. He became a human intelligence sponge, soaking up and retaining more information and facts than should be humanly possible. Not only was his interest natural, but so his motivation to succeed. He never needed to be told to do his homework and never once needed any help in completing it. He simply got it done. In this respect, he was brilliant and far exceeded the capacity of his parents; quite honestly he did this in most fields.
Max also had an ear for music that he shared with his mother. He started with the piano and then started playing the viola. He was passionate about his viola and played in RMS, then KHS orchestra, competing in competitions and going on fun orchestra trips. Once again Max's capabilities well overshadowed those of his parents.
Max developed an interest in science and technology. His love of computers and computer games was what consumed his free time in his teenage years. Often misunderstood by his parents but much appreciated when we had a computer virus, a new phone to set up, or in fact any problem with any audio visual component in the house. Most recently his mission was to spread the word that technology should be used in a more positive way to enhance humanity and bring peace to this world.
Max also had a passionate interest in cooking, whether it be the traditional role of the man at the BBQ, or in the kitchen preparing complex sauces, with herbs and spices. He was so incredibly multifaceted, and yes once again this was a skill in which he surpassed the capabilities of both parents.
Max had a fantastic dry sense of humor. Although at first appearing shy and reclusive, had an ability to converse on any subject and always be entertaining and sharp whited.
Max was a rising star that shone more brightly than any in the sky. His capabilities and potential knew no bounds. He was a loving and committed son, scholar, sportsman, musician, and boy scout. He aspired to go to college in 2012 to study genetics, in the hope that one day he would be able to reveal more further mysteries in the world of genetics.
While he is missed, he has not gone, he is simply unavailable for comment for a while.
Maximilian Christopher Keevill was a loving child and a honorable, high achieving teenager. Above all, a son to be proud of.
