Michael Alexander Graham, 40, of Kingwood, Texas, passed away on Monday, the 22nd day of April, 2024. Born on the 15th day of March in 1984 in Naperville, Illinois, he was the son of his parents Charles and Cathy Graham. Michael graduated from Kingwood High School in 2002 and went on to get a BS degree in Economics from LSU. While a student at LSU, he was a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity. An avid sports enthusiast, he played baseball, basketball, and soccer throughout of his life. He enjoyed sports of all types, but his particular favorite teams were most notably LSU football, University of Kentucky basketball, and the Dallas Cowboys. He was preceded in death with his grandparents, Leo and Josephine Mouser Spalding from New Haven, Kentucky, and Gene and Peggy Shields Graham from Bloomfield, Kentucky.
He is survived by his parents, Charles and Cathy Graham, of Kingwood, Texas; his brother, Thomas S. Graham and his wife, Dr. Jennifer Marks, of Denver, Colorado; his infant nephew, Colton Spalding Graham, of whom he was a very proud uncle; his aunts and uncles, Sharon Yunt and her husband, Tony, of McKinney, Texas, Mike Spalding and his wife, Sandy, and Mark Spalding and his wife, Vickie, all of New Haven, Nora Ann Marshall of Louisville, and Diane Collins and her husband, Steve, of Shelbyville; and his numerous cousins.
The family will hold a private service officiated by Pastor Gregory Widener at the Bloomfield Christian Church, followed by the burial at the Maple Grove Cemetery next to the church where Michael will be laid to rest with his grandparents, Gene and Peggy Graham. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Camp Hope Program, PTSD Foundation of America, 9724 Derrington Road, Houston, Texas 77064. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home of Taylorsville and Shelbyville in Kentucky. May Michael rest in peace.
