Mickey was born on April 8, 1960, in Andrews, Texas, to Elyon and RC Seal. He built a career as an accountant for 30 years before following his dreams and becoming a nurse at age 50 — a bold and inspiring second act that spoke to his determination and compassion for others.
On May 12, 1989, he married the love of his life, Fran Lori Seal, who survives him.
Mickey had a gift for meeting people — he loved getting to know others and made friends wherever he went. He also had a passion for traveling, always eager for the next adventure. A devoted fan of the Dallas Stars and the Houston Astros, he rarely missed a chance to cheer them on.
He is survived by his wife, Fran Seal; his mother, Elyon Seal; his children, Chris Seal, Ashley Peterson, and Brittany Bowell; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, RC Seal.
