She was born in 1951 to Ed and Jane Morgan. Patti received her undergraduate degree from University of North Texas and her master’s from Stephen F. Austin State University before becoming a teacher for most of her life. She taught at the preschool, high school, and college levels.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, and is survived by husband Rick Kostue; daughter Kimberly Pellicore, her husband Mark, and their two children Tyler and Maggie; daughter Kelli Elkins, her husband Jonathan, and their daughter Hazel; and her brother David Morgan and his family.
