Paul Martin Schlenger

Paul loved his family, reading Louis L’Amour western books, carpentry and most recently traveling. Paul was a member of Second Baptist Church in Kingwood, Texas where he was a long-time member of the Choir. In 1963-1967 he was a Fire Control Technician (FT) in the U.S. Navy, stationed in the Western Pacific during the Vietnam War. He married his first love Janice in Iowa in 1966. They were married 46 years until she passed away in 2012. Paul and Janice adopted two children and moved to Texas to raise a family. Paul worked as an electrician, and later as a computer programmer. In 2013, he married Carol and eventually the two moved to Costa Rica where they enjoyed making new friends and exploring the country.

Paul was born on May 29, 1944 in Elizabeth, New Jersey to Alfred A. Schlenger and Rita M. Kraus-Schlenger. Paul is proceeded in death by his parents, brother Robert Schlenger, first wife Janice K. Anderson-Schlenger and second wife Carol M. Valentine-Schlenger. Paul is survived by 2 children, 4 grandchildren & 4 great-grandchildren.
