Randall Paul Shaw, Sr., 67, of Humble, Texas, formally of Sparta, Illinois, passed away at 2:40 p.m., Friday, May 3, 2013 at the Kingwood Medical Center in Kingwood, Texas

Randall was born November 11, 1945, in St. Louis, Missouri. He was the second child of Paul Russell and Helen Jane (Peterson) Shaw. Randall married Sylvia Diann Wright on August 22, 1969 in Sparta, Illinois.

Randall served in the United States Air Force from November 1963 to April 1968 and did 4 ½ tours in Vietnam. He became a 100% disabled veteran due to Agent Orange. He completed his Bachelor of Science and Masters Degrees at Southern Illinois University – Carbondale, Illinois.

Randall is survived by his wife, Sylvia Shaw; two sons, Randall Paul (Carin) Shaw, Jr. of Sherman, IL and Robert Paul Shaw of Chicago, IL; two grandchildren, Alexander Paul Shaw and Madisyn Elizabeth Shaw.

The family would like to thank Paul Jean Prochazka and Andy and Angee Gonzalez and family for their support and kindness during this time.

A graveside service will be held at 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, TX 77038.
