Rao Venkata Somepalli, 58, of Kingwood, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2012. He was born in Chennai, and grew up in Guntur, India. He had a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Environmental Engineering. He had been the CEO of RAO Environmental Services Inc for more than 15 years. Rao provided services for the Land Assemblage Redevelopment Authority (LARA) of Houston. He also donated his services many Houston area religious facilities.
Rao is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Aruna K Somepalli; son, Jesvant Somepalli; sisters, Uma (Narayana) Somepalli, Rama (late Ankineedu Prasad) Surapaneni and Nirmala (Rajendra Prasad) Venigalla; brother, Dr. Ramesh Somepalli; dear friends; Kishore Nayani, Zahir Jamal, and others; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be private.
