Ricky Raymond Shackelford

Ricky Raymond Shackelford, a cherished resident of Magnolia, Texas, tragically passed away on June 12, 2025, at the age of 48. Born on April 14, 1977, in Centreville, Illinois, Ricky moved to Spring, Texas as a young child. He was a selfless, generous, and kind-hearted individual, known for his gentle nature and devoted spirit.

Ricky's early life was marked by his love for sports. He played little league baseball and was an active member of his high school basketball team. He graduated from Spring High School in 1995 and also enjoyed racing dirt bikes.

On June 7, 2002, Ricky married his high school sweetheart, Leah. Together, they raised two daughters, Alexa Ray, born on February 16, 2009, and Claire Anne, born on December 16, 2011. Ricky was a doting and protective father who loved his family dearly.

His passion for sports extended beyond his youth as he loved watching all sports, especially those involving Houston teams. Ricky also enjoyed watching golf and was a fan of supercross.

In the community, Ricky was known for his involvement in his daughters' schooling. He was a dedicated Watch Dog Dad, a lunch volunteer, and was always involved in their activities. He was also the neighborhood fix-it man, always ready to lend a helping hand.

Ricky's personal qualities left a lasting legacy. He had a servant's heart and loved all children, embodying patience and faithfulness in all his endeavors.

A Celebration of Life - Memorial Service will be held at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home & Cemetery, located at 18000 Interstate 45 S, The Woodlands, Texas, 77384, on June 23, 2025, at 2:00 pm. Ricky will be remembered fondly by all who knew him and will be deeply missed.
