Eddie was born on August 12, 1946 in Houston, Texas. He lived in Houston most of his life, except while he was in the Air Force and a short stint in San Antonio, Texas. Eddie served proudly in the US Air Force from 1966 to 1969, where he met Alice, the love of his life in the Philippines. Eddie had a passion for politics and patriotism, and readily would spend lots of time engaged in conversation or debate on both of his favorite subjects. He truly enjoyed being in the outdoors either hunting or fishing. He also had a fond interest for Texas history, and enjoyed his hobby of sports collectibles and memorabilia.
The primary focus of his life was his family, his faith, and his friends. During the highlight of his working career, he was able to use his impeccable carpentry skills in the field of International Airfreight. Eddie worked at J.P. Harle Group in the late 1970s that was later taken over by Panalpina where he was a warehouse manager shipping freight by air and sea between the Far East and Europe, Africa, Oceania and India, and initiated scheduled air freight services between Luxembourg and the United States, South Africa and Brazil. Following his career in air freight, he began direct sales and everyone soon discovered his keen talent of salesmanship. Always equipped with a gift to make conversation, Eddie enjoyed nothing more than a glass of ice tea and a lengthy talk with any member of the family or friend.
Eddie is survived by Alice Allison, his wife of 50 years and his four children - Randy Allison and his wife Emily Allison, Teresa Romines and her husband Lloyd Romines, David Allison and his wife Ami Allison, Donna Loera and her husband Salvador Loera. He is survived by fourteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The grandchildren are Blake, Jacob, Marlayna, Lauren, Maranda, Gabriel, Zane, Jesse, Alice M., Emma, Ava Grace, Audrey, Ellie, Finn and Kaia (great grandchild). He also is survived by Virginia Allison, his mother and his siblings, Carma Neilson and husband Paul E. Neilson, Steven Allison and his wife Angela Allison, and Patrick Allison. He is preceded in death by his father Rochelle Edward Allison, Jr.
A memorial will be held on Monday, April 30, 2018 at the Kingwood Funeral Home in Kingwood, Texas at 11:00 a.m. followed by a procession to Houston National Cemetery on 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, his final resting place.
