Mrs. B was like a second mom to me. I'll always remember Chip and I going to his house after school where she would sit with us, make us sandwiches, and we'd roll around the kitchen on the rolling chairs. She was always in good spirits regardless of what was happening in life and she was always interested in the kids' (and their friends) lives during high school, at Texas Tech and beyond. She brought all those who knew her great joy, made us laugh, and she will be missed by all who care for her. We love you Mrs. B! May peace be with you.

This is so hard to write as I am so sad. I worked with Rita for so many years at Rio Vista Rehab as Nurse Liaisons. She was a true friend and helped me so much during my divorce with advice and just being there with hugs and Kleenex as she was the only one that knew of my turmoil at work We shared so many memories that it’s hard to just pick one. She was a great nurse. Love you my forever friend, rest in peace

Hello, I am Rita’s grand niece Hannah Mayer and I’m actually related to her on her husbands side of the family. Her husband Al is my grandmother’s brother. My grandmother had 4 children. Their names are Stuart, Jeffery, Ellen, and Minton. Stuart happens to be my father and Jeffery, Ellen, and Minton are my aunts and Uncles. I wish I could have met you in person. RIP Grand Aunt Rita

Rita: you have meant so much to me and our family and you will be missed terribly. You never seemed to stop moving so we hope God keeps you busy in heaven—no doubt He could use your energizer bunny spirit and kind heart. You left us too soon. Love, Linda, Mike, Matthew and Allison Rutherford
