Sanny Mae Laxton was born to her parents Ida Larch and Archie Larch on December 29, 1935 in Houston, TX. She was raised with her brothers Archie Larch Jr. and Roland Larch and her sister Judy Larch. She lived in many different states and Canada as the homemaker to a military husband with whom she had three children: Ramona Wagner, Harry Laxton Jr., and Ronald Laxton. Her children fondly remember her taking them sightseeing to explore each new city to which they moved, particularly museums. She encouraged their curiosity and education, including getting an extensive encyclopedic book collection before the Internet. Her grandchildren include Steven Laxton, Cinnamon Laxton, Sage Laxton, April Thornton, Autumn Thornton, Austin Wagner, Emily Laxton, Joshua Laxton, and Abigale Laxton; and she was also survived by four great-grandchildren. In addition to being a homemaker, she also attended University of Houston classes for accounting, worked at Younger Brothers, Inc. trucking company as an accountant (bookkeeping) and occasionally delivered new cars by driving them, and was a caregiver to her parents in their older years. She enjoyed driving her red MG sports car, country life, gardening, pets, and iced coffee. She most recently resided at Focused Care Nursing Home, 93 Isaaks Rd, Humble, TX where she enjoyed swapping stories with her contemporaries, particularly her roommate who had also been a child during World War II but in Germany as a German child. She died February 12, 2020 of natural causes in Humble, TX at the age of 84. Her memorial service will be at Kingwood Funeral Home 22800 Highway 59 North, Kingwood, TX 77339, (281) 358-9005, https://www.dignitymemorial.com/funeral-homes/kingwood-tx/kingwood-funeral-home/4974, this Saturday, February 22, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. The family has designated Alzheimer’s Association as the preferred charity for anyone wanting to make a donation in Sanny Laxton’s name.”
