

She was born in Texarkana, Texas, on August 24, 1962, Susan graduated from C.E. King High School in 1981.
Susan married the love of her life, Robert Bryant King, on February 20, 1982. Together, they built a beautiful family with their three daughters: Amanda, Alyssa (Russell), and Alex (Patrick). Susan's family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Her personal interests included crafting, reading, attending band concerts, antiquing, camping, traveling, going on cruises, and enjoying the beach. Susan was also deeply involved in her community, volunteering at her children's schools and serving as a Kingwood High School Band concessions volunteer. In 2005, she was honored with the Family Town Foundation Woman of Achievement Homemaker award. Susan's passion for pet rescue was evident in her support of organizations like Pawpact Rescue and Doras Dawgs and Katz.
Susan's legacy is defined by her immense love for life, her children, and her husband. Her warmth and compassion touched everyone she met, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her.
A visitation will be held at Kingwood Funeral Home, located at 22800 Highway 59 N, Kingwood, Texas, 77339, on June 21, 2025, at 1:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 pm. A reception will follow the service.

Susan will be deeply missed by her surviving family, including her husband, Robert Bryant King, her daughters, Amanda, Alyssa, and Alex, and her brothers, Ronald Chapman (Estella) and Jimmy Chapman (Pearl). She was preceded in death by her beloved brother Bobby Chapman, brother Stephen Chapman, father Russell Chapman, and mother Mary Marie Chapman.
