Terrel, known as Terry to the family, passed away at age 62 Monday morning August 12 while in Kingwood Hospital following his struggle with an illness. He was born October 11, 1956 in Luling, TX. to parents Edward Earl Nance and Geneva Krischke Nance. At the age of 2 he moved to Houston where he lived most of his life. The last 20 years he resided in New Caney, TX. Terry never married.
He is survived by three sisters: Jacquelyn Strange of Tomball, TX, Beverly Turner and husband Don of Santa Fe, TX and Lynn Cook of Austin, TX. He is preceded in death by his father who passed in 2010. He is also preceded by his only brother, David Nance of Ft. Worth, TX who passed in 2013. Terry was uncle to six nieces: Deanna, Stacy, Ashley, Victoria, Kelly, & Cassie and two nephews James and Ryan. He is also survived by many friends in the New Caney area who fondly called him “T”.
Terry live a very simple life. He enjoyed socializing with friends and family. He also liked to read, play baseball and enjoyed board games. The family welcomes memories you would like to share on the website.
The Memorial service will be an informal casual gathering as he would have wanted with light refreshments provided on:

Terry’s ashes will be laid to rest at a later date in Schulenburg, TX where his mother grew up and where he had many wonderful times.
