Tom will be sorely missed by his loving wife of 66 years, Faith Macdonald Kelly and their children: Laura Freeman (Peter), David Kelly (Sally) and Steven Kelly (Lisa). He was a cherished brother to his sister Joanne White. He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas Edward Kelly and Elizabeth Barry Kelly and his brother Patrick Kelly.
His legacy continues to flourish in his grandchildren: Taylor, Patrick, Ryan, Kate, Reed, Meg Kelly and Matthew Freeman and his Great Granddaughters: Ruby and Kennedy Kelly who will remember their grandfather with love and admiration.
Growing up in Syracuse, NY, Tom served in the Army from 1959-1963. He graduated in 1959 from Le Moyne College, later taking a job with Anaconda American Brass in Waterbury, CT. A year later he had the joy of marrying his life partner, Faith. Between the years of 1961 and 1965, the couple had three children and moved to Atlanta, GA and back to Watertown, CT where they resided until 1981. A job change to ARCO brought the family to Barrington, IL and in 1985 to Kingwood, TX where Tom established his own company, Copper and Brass International.
Over the years, Tom enjoyed his favorite sport, golf, anytime he had the chance. He was a long time member of Kingwood Country Club, 41 years, where he served on the board of directors for 2 years, was a member of the OFWW's and played on the travel team. When he wasn't playing golf, he could be found walking his precious dog, Abbey or doing projects around the house. Tom's love for travel, included many cruises with Faith around the world, often traveling with friends or family. Tom was a long time member of St. Martha's Catholic Church and spent many years serving Martha's Kitchen.
Tom was a loving husband, a caring father, a supportive brother and a doting grandfather. His gentle nature had a wonderful way of touching lives and leaving a lasting impression. His enduring love for his family and his strength of character will live in the hearts of those he left behind.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that loved ones share their favorite memories and stories of Tom or donate to Martha's Kitchen. http://stmartha.com
