Our Beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend left this world unexpectedly at 24 years of age on March 11, 2022. Vailyn Renee Kincaid was born in Newtown, Connecticut on January 22, 1998. She moved to Kingwood and attended Bear Branch Elementary. Vailyn returned to Connecticut with her family as a youngster then moved back to Kingwood as a 9th grader. She attended Kingwood High School and graduated in the Class of 2016.
Vailyn continued her education at the University of Texas at Arlington and the University of Houston, Bauer College of Business. She was very proud to be an alumnae of the Zeta Sigma Chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha where she served as Ritual Chair and FRED Chair (she was responsible for maintaining fraternity and historical traditions for the the chapter.) Vailyn cherished all of the relationships she developed, always loving her ‘Zistas.”
Vailyn adored her siblings and loved spending time with them and her parents on frequent family vacations. She had a passion for painting and enjoyed working out at the gym with her favorite tunes. She was obsessed with hats, Lucas the Spider and an expert on random Disney quotes.
From an early age, Vailyn had a knack for sometimes-unintentional silly expressions and funny poses. Vailyn managed to raise “photobombing” to a whole new level. The term “a picture speaks a thousand words” doesn’t come close to the story she tells with her facial expressions.
As a youngster, Vailyn carried around a stuffed puppy at all times. This was simply training for the extraordinary love she had for dogs, especially her own dog Jackson, whom she called the love-of-her-life.
She leaves behind parents Patrick Kincaid and Laura Evagash-Kincaid; twin siblings Brady and Bellamy; her beloved dog Jackson and new puppy Luna (whom she nicknamed "Potato"); Maternal Grandparents Thomas and Evelyn Evagash of The Villages Florida and Paternal Grandparents Russ and Andi Kincaid in New Milford, Connecticut; and so many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was greeted in heaven by her maternal great-grandparents Ziggy and Tessie, beloved dogs Lily and Lucas, her ‘Uncle Jerry’, and others we have loved and lost along the way.
A memorial will take place in Connecticut during the summer for Vailyn’s very large (ok huge) loving extended family and friends. Please reach out for more details.
