Verby Y Schambaugh

Verby Lena (Young) Schambaugh, 84 of Kingwood, TX left this world on February 13, 2016 to reunite with her husband and sons in eternal rest. Verby passed away at St. Luke’s-Woodlands Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Schambaugh Iserhardt, and son-in-law, Jerry L. Iserhardt of Kingwood; brother, James Young of San Diego, CA; sisters, Dorothy Y. Johnson of Hammond, LA, and Leigh (Bertha) Krueger of Hestand, KY; grandchildren, Melissa L. Airhart, Charlotte Iserhardt Skipper, Andrea L. Iserhardt, and Ryan A. Schambaugh; and great-grandchildren, Lena Iserhardt, John Skipper, Aden Airhart, and Mila Airhart.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Young and Ament Courville Young; husband, Allen R. Schambaugh; sons Kenneth A. Schambaugh, Steven G. Schambaugh, and Charles W. Schambaugh; grandson Charles “Chuck” A. Schambaugh; and sister, Verdie M. Schambaugh.

Verby was born on May 5, 1931, in Eunice, Louisiana to Walter and Ament Young. A 40-year resident of Kingwood, TX, she enjoyed family, gardening and reading. Verby will be greatly missed.
