Vernetta L. Pierce, born March 26, 1939 in Cisco, TX, passed away on March 15, 2012 in Humble, TX. Vernetta is the daughter of Charles and Aileen Davis and the Granddaughter of James and Nita Gunn.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Benefield, and husband Donald and her sister, Charleen Donaway and husband L.C.
Vernetta is also survived by one grandson, James Benefield, and his fiancé Brooke. She also leaves behind three great grandchildren, Alexis VanBaarle, Ashlynn Spencer, and Kiley Benefield and two nieces, Gay Smith and Joy Campbell.
Services for Ms. Pierce will be held at Summers Chambers Funeral Home, 203 West 7th Street, Cisco, TX 76437, at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2012 with interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Cisco, TX.
