Vincent Firrello

July 19, 1931April 17, 2021

Vincenzo “Vinny” Firrello passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021, at the age of 89 at his home in Houston, Texas. His family attended a private ceremony at Kingwood Funeral Home on April 20, 2021. A Military Service open to family and friends will be held at the Houston National Cemetery in Houston on Friday, June 4, 2021, at 12:30pm.

Vinny was born July 19, 1931, in Brooklyn, NY., to Alberto and Josephine Firrello who was from Naples, Italy. He was married to Beverly Firrello of Houston for 28 wonderful years. He had two brothers Mike and Tony who preceded him, three children Debbie, Woody, and Vinny, Jr., six grandchildren Gabby, Taylor, Vinny/Christopher, Shannon, Mike, Rachael, and daughter-in-law Lucille, step-children Pamela, Michael, and Elizabeth and three step-grandchildren Chelsea, Thomas and Morgan.

Vinny went to school in Brooklyn and at a very early age, he had a shoe-shine box and shined shoes on the streets of Brooklyn. He loved baseball and went to see the Yankees quite frequently. Vinny served in the United States Army from 1947 to 1948 when he was honorably discharged. He worked in the Air Conditioning field all his life and had his own company for 22 years. In later years, he moved to Houston and met Beverly. They were married on May 19, 1993. He loved to dance, going to the Sam Houston Race Track, on cruises, and traveling to see family.

I am so thankful for all of the visits Aunt Beverly and Uncle Vinnie had with Mom and Dad. I am happy to have known him. I enjoyed making his sugar free pies. My boys loved playing cards with him. We love you all. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We are looking forward to your next visit Aunt Beverly.

Aunt Beverly and family. Everybody loved Uncle Vinny. 1/3 rd of the 3 Amegios is gone but not forgotten. Vinny will always be in our hearts and memories. God bless all of you.
