William David Reynolds Sr., age 87, passed away on June 25, 2026. Born March 13, 1939, William David will be remembered with deep respect as a good man, beloved and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather—faithful in his convictions, hard-working in all he undertook, and brave in the steady way he met life’s demands.
Raised on the family farm, William David carried forward the values of diligence and responsibility that shaped his early years. He later graduated from East Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science and degrees in Physics with a minor in Math, a foundation that reflected both discipline and a lifelong commitment to learning.
William David served in the United States Army from 1961 to 1964 across the United States. After his military service, he built a career in the Oil and Gas industry as a drilling fluids engineer and drilling fluids training manager—work that called for precision, patience, and the kind of reliable effort that earned trust over time.
William David was preceded in death by his parents, Harold B. and Glenna Lee Reynolds. He is survived by his beloved wife, Judy Reynolds; his children, David Jr. (Sharon), Adam (Stacie), Elizabeth, and Debra (Brandon); his grandchildren, Glenna Lee Watje (Christopher), William Casey Reynolds, Logan Bohanan, Avery Bohanan, Nathan Milner, Bryce Milner and Kyle Regan, and his great-grandchildren, Emily Rose Reynolds, Marion Siyanawa Watje, and Andrew Leon Watje. William David’s proudest family moments included getting married to his wife Judy, being baptized, and watching his children and grandchildren graduate.
In his quieter hours, William David found joy in reading, solving puzzles, programing, fishing, being on the farm, listing to old country music, and spending time with his family. He was also a member of Mensa, a reflection of the sharp mind he carried with humility and purpose.
A Christian man of great integrity, William David leaves a legacy that will be remembered by all those who knew him—through faithful example, devoted love, and the steady strength of a life well lived.
