Andy was born to Eva and John Rehner in Petrosani, Romania and immigrated to Canada in 1977. He graduated from Conestoga College in Mechanical Engineering. He was a faithful employee of Northern Precision for 24 years. Andy was a member of the Romanian Banat Club where he volunteered and served at weddings and a member of St. John the Baptist Romanian Orthodox Church. Andy was known for his big smile and warm heart. He was kind and loving, had a gentle manner and a joking nature. A visit never ended before Andy had a humorous comment to make. He always made time to lend a hand to his family or a neighbour when needed. He loved fishing, swimming in his pool, playing computer games and every year he looked forward to spending many weekends decking out his home with many outdoor Christmas lights and decorations. Even though he left us much too soon, his loving heart left a beacon of light to all of those who knew him.
Andy married the love of his life, Maria, in 1988 and for the next 34 beautiful years of their life together, the two were inseparable and did everything together.
Andy will be greatly and lovingly missed by his beloved wife Maria (nee Kozokari); his mom Eva Rehner; his brother John (Shelley) Rehner; his sister Renata (Rob) Krech; his nephews and niece, Nikolaus and Jonathan Krech; Nathan and Kayla (Danny) Rehner; sadly missed by his aunts and uncles Walli and Bill Haslam; Ludovic Andrica and Erji Andrica of Romania; cousins Chris (Christine) Haslam; Kim (Dave) Wiszniowski; Adrian, Sandel, and Dan Andrica of Romania; cousins-in-law Jovo (Zivka), Daniel, Antonio Zmejkoski and Nevena (Goran), Teadora, Kristina, Sara Kostadinovski and extended family and friends.
He was predeceased by his dad John Rehner; his father-in-law, Petru Kozokari; his mother-in-law, Milica Kozokari; his brother-in-law, Steve (Vasa) Kozokari and his uncles from Romania Alexandru and Josif Andrica.
