 I was one of the Secretaries at Sir Edgar Bauer Catholic school in Waterloo and I loved the Gomes family and meeting Annette for the first time was like touching a piece of heaven. Oh that smile and her giggle will never be forgotten by all of us who were blessed to be a part of Annette's life. All the students wanted to be Annette's friend because she made everyone feel special. I loved it when Annette came into the office because my day always got brighter when Annette came through the door! I miss that "hey Mrs.Brown, whatcha doing?"
Annette will forever hold a very special place in my heart and will be deeply missed by all of us who were blessed to have her in our lives. 
May the Gomes family feel the peace that is the gift of a well loved life and may Annette be welcomed into the light of God's  face

My deepest sympathy to Annette's family.
I met Annette when she started Kindergarten and was with her until she reached grade five.  She was a sweet, gentle and kind child, so easy to love.  Her classmates helped her when she needed it and older students kept an eye on her at recess. 
Back then, Halloween was her favourite holiday and the school trip to the Toronto Zoo was memorable for her.  We did lots of singing and laughing. I enjoyed her sense of humour.
She was an angel and now has her wings.
          

Annette was an angel when I met her. I was given a beautiful gift and introduced to her when she was in her 20's and she was a very special part of my heart. I have reflected on all of the time I was able to spend with her and all of the beautiful memories we created together. Annette was a part of my family and met all of my children and we all adored her. 
Annette made sure we always had a big celebration for her birthday with lots of cake, singing to Shania Twain and getting her nails done! 
I still feel her beautiful soft hugs and hear her sweet voice. I will always celebrate her life as she brought so much love to mine. 
I am forever grateful for the day that I met Annette and her wonderful family who always make me feel appreciated. Thank you for sharing your sweet Annette with me. I will miss her dearly. Theresa Coon and family xo 

Annette was fun to teach. I was her Education Assistant from when she was in Grade 2 to 8 at Sir Edgar Bauer School.  She was a ray of sunshine.  I looked forward to working with her everyday.  Her classmates loved her as well.  She and her family are in my prayers.

My deepest sympathy to Annette’s family.  She was my first student assignment at St.David’s.  Annette was a bright star with the most amazing smile and was such a positive young lady.
I will always remember her signature flip of her hair and twirl of her skirt move.
She will be greatly missed to all those that had the privilege to know her.

I spent most of my childhood hanging out with Annette at school.  She was such a sweet soul and always made your day better.  Conversations in grade school about her newest music obsession or a cool new dance move were a daily occurrence.  She was a gift to have met in my life.  Here is a photo of us in grade 4 sitting together. Strength and prayers for her family. 

Dear Gomes Family, Please accept my sincere condolences. I knew Annette when she was at Sir Edgar Bauer and loved her from the very start. Annette was such a delight and always had wonderful sayings. I'll always remember,"It's cold enough  to freeze your giblets". Or, she'd look up at me and say, "Are you the Golden Girls girl?'  When I questioned that she'd say, "I'm fooling you around". Annette, our little angel at SEB, was loved by all who knew her. May she now rest in the arms of the angels. Until we meet again, RIP.

I had the honour of being Annette's classmate in Gr. 9 Geography.  Her EA is not with her for this class and so our teacher assigned me to sit next to her, maybe because I'm quiet and seem like a nice and helpful student. I wasn't a popular student and I was a visible minority, so no one really talks to me in class.  But not Annette. In her eyes, everyone was her friend. She saw past my physical appearance and was not shy to stir up a conversation with me. I often helped her turn to the correct page in our textbook during lessons, while she told me about her day, or about which boys in our class she thought were cute. She would grab my face with her little hands close to her when I don't respond to her during a lesson. She made sure she was heard! :) 

Thank you, Annette, for always showing kindness to everyone at our school. You have inspired me to be a Special Education Teacher today. You are loved and will be missed.

Annette was our angel at Sir Edgar Bauer School for nine years, her smile and spunky personality kept us all smiling.
One of my favourite memories was watching her sing Rudolph in our Christmas concert and getting a ribbon at the track and field meet, 
A precious soul is now in heaven, her loving spirit flying free.

Annette, you forever hold a special place in my heart having grown up with you through the years. You brought so many laughs and so much joy to all of us through the years. I know how much you meant to your family and friends. God has given you wings to fly, continue to spread your joy, laughter and love wherever you may go. God rest your beautiful soul. 

Annette was a ray of sunshine and had an enormous abundance of love that she gave to everyone she met and knew.  ANNETTE will always be in our hearts forever and  always.  May Liz,Albert, Paula, and Nicholas and all your families know we all love you and feel your pain, but remember you are not alone, you now have your angel watching over all of you.
