Barbara Ethel Snyder

June 12, 1936February 17, 2021

Passed away at home on February 17th, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Merle Snyder. Cherished Ma of James McAleney (Corinna), Leo McAleney (Sandy), Lynn McAleney (Brad), and Heather Osier (Scott). Adored Nan of Matthew Goleff (Danielle), Tyler Goleff, Samantha Osier, Keegan McAleney, Colton McAleney, and Kyra McAleney (Stephen). Much loved Great Nan of Hudson, Vera-Lynn, Joshua, Jacob, Jaiden and Ava. Barb was predeceased by her Mum and best friend Audrey Lockett. She was the most kind, joyful person in the world. She truly was a ray of sunshine. She would say we were her blessings but in truth she was our blessing. An angel on earth and now in heaven. If you were lucky enough to get one of her cards you always received a Roses are Red poem… Roses are Red, Violets are Blue, you were perfect in every way, we will always miss you. A private family gathering has taken place and a private Celebration of her beautiful life will be held when it is safe to gather. If desired, donations to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated. Online condolences at www.westmountfuneralchapel.com.

Dear Lynn & Family
When I first started at Colonial years ago Barb was my crew leader on the midnight shift. It was because of her kindness & patience that I made it. I will always remember her infectious laugh & her always saying come on over make & I" ll make you some lasagne
I"m still waiting.!!!!! Barb was a beautiful person inside & out & I will miss her.
Lynn know that Barb left a piece of herself with all of us to remember. We are truly sorry for your loss.

Sorry to hear of Barb's passing. We haven't seen Barb for many years but her obituary aptly describes how we felt around her. She was always like a beautiful ray of sunshine. Rest in Peace Barb. We know your cheerful presence and your ability to make people smile from the inside will be missed by so many. One of those people you don't easily forget.
