Passed away peacefully at Cambridge Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family on December 1, 2025 at the age of 77.
Bill lived a life marked by humour, generosity, and resilience. He was known for his devotion to friends and family, his insistence on turning any comment into a pun, and will be remembered by all who knew him for his “Oh Bill” jokes.
Bill devoted 28 years to working for the LCBO, with the last half of his career spent as a district manager. There he was admired for his strong work ethic, and his ability to understand all viewpoints and find solutions.
In retirement, Bill used his own experiences in order to help others as a facilitator for the Bereaved Families of Ontario. He never missed any opportunities to help friends and family members whenever it was needed. He also made it his mission to get a laugh out of every single person that he crossed paths with in order to brighten their day.
Predeceased by wife Lee (2011). Loving father to Brad (Christina) and predeceased by son Ryan (1998).
Dearest grandpa to Isla and Annika. Brother of Dave (Anja), Lynda (David) and the late Stephen. Bill will also be missed by his loving wife and companion Jude, his mother-in-law Wanda and many nieces and nephews and extended family.
A Celebration of Life will take place at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St S. on Sunday December 14th at 2:00 pm with a time of visitation and refreshments to follow.
Memorial donations in Bill’s memory may be made to Bereaved Families of Ontario or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
