Saddened to hear about Christine's passing. I grew up on Hazelglen next door to Christine and Peter until I was about 10. I have so many fond memories of this beautiful soul that have stuck with me all these years later. We ran into them several years back and I couldn't believe how she remembered me. Ida ( Christine  ) I  will always remember Ida for many reasons. One of,  she was the third person that my wife, Viola, and I met when we came to Canada in the Spring of 1976. She and her husband, Sonny,  were neighbors and on a warm Sunday evening whilst walking in the neighborhood of Victoria Hills we met and spoke. She greeted us with her infectious smile and welcomed us to the neighborhood, province and Canada. We're assured of her welcome in the presence of The Lord by His Spirit " absent from the body:present with The Lord God " Rest in peace. Winston/Venetta.

We can never forget how bravely and faith-filled she accepted her illness. She was a woman of great courage, love, and strength, a woman who was truly guided and inspired by the light of Christ. My sister in law was always there for me when I arrived in Canada as a young lady not yet twenty one yet she took me under wings and did for me what mothers do for a daughter, you are no longer with us but I will always remember the wonderful years we spent together. You are no longer with but I will want to say a special thank for the sixty plus you spent alongside my brother and for all the wonderful things you did for me.May your soul Rest In Peace, you will be missed.

Aunty Ida was a wonderful lady, full of love and laughter. She always had a kind word. In her latter days, she was aware of her failing health, yet she remained joyous and faith-filled. She was an inspiration. Memories of her will always bring a smile.

May God wrap Uncle Sonny, Kenneth, Aunty Marj and the rest of the family in his loving arms, giving comfort like only He can.
