(a shortened Ode) As Mom, (Connie) set foot on the path of life - a guide said, the way is hard and you will be old before you reach the end of it. Mom was happy, played and taught her children. As night came, Mom drew us close and protected us, we were not afraid. As Mom grew weary she said - yesterday I gave my children stength, today courage. As Mom grew older and frail, we lifted her, as she did for us. We cannot see her now, she is with us still. More than a memory, forever in our hearts. Love from daughter Sue Lambkin
