Beloved husband to Noreen Barker (nee Hood) for 65 years.
Predeceased by his son Brian Barker in 2009 and survived by children Richard Barker (Judy) and Cathyann Cenerelli (Laurie).
Proud grandfather to nine grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
Doug is predeceased by his parents Olive and Earl Barker, and his brothers and sisters. He will also be sadly missed by many other relatives and friends.
Doug was an employee of J.M. Schneider’s for 38 years, and he and Noreen were the owners of All Seasons Hobbies & Crafts in Preston, ON for five years.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of CACC who helped so much through this time.
Visitation will be held at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre (1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener) on Wednesday, August 26 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. Interment in Woodland Cemetery will immediately follow the visitation.
Donations in memory of Doug may be made to The House of Friendship of The Working Centre.
