Edgar John Carson

John and Marg recently moved to Waterloo after a lifetime of living in Burritts Rapids on the beautiful banks of the Rideau River, a place John loved immensely.

John and Marg were blessed with two children, Ron (Allison) of Apex NC and Peggy (Chris) of Ottawa. They adored their four grandchildren, Claire, Paige, Davis and Megan. John was fortunate enough to see and enjoy his two great-grandchildren. John will be deeply missed by his dear sister Claudia (Doug) of London, sister-in-law Shirley (late Stan) of Waterloo along with many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He will join his parents and brother Peter.

John was a teacher at Thousand Islands Secondary School in Brockville. He enjoyed years of sailing with his family, being a Ham radio operator, wood carving, boat watching on the river, feeding and watching the birds, cooking and his involvement in the Masonic lodge #55. He was a great story teller who hated shopping.

Funeral Liturgy will take place on Friday July 8th at 11am in the Chapel of the Westmount Memorial Celebration Center (1001 Ottawa St. S. Corner of Westmount and Ottawa St. S. Kitchener) followed by a private celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, please consider planting a tree in his memory.
