Varney, Elizabeth (Betty) died peacefully at Park Lane Terrace in Paris, Ontario on Monday November 12, 2012 in her 90th year. Dear wife of the late Alex Varney. Loving mother to son Gordon (Judith) and daughter Catherine. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Alex, Scott and Elyse. Predeceased by brothers Duncan, John, Rod and Bill. Betty volunteered with the Red Cross and worked in a military hospital in England 1939-1945. Back in Canada she worked for Bell Canada and Eatons before retiring. Visitation will be held on Thursday November 15 from 7pm until 9pm at the Westmount Funeral chapel 1001 Ottawa Street S, Kitchener. Visitation will continue on Friday November 16 at the Calvin Presbyterian Church 248 Westmount Road E from 12pm until 1pm when a Funeral Service will be held to celebrate Betty’s life, Rev Joel Sherbino to officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Calvin Presbyterian Ladies Fellowship Group would be greatly appreciated.
