Evelyn was predeceased by Grant her beloved husband of 57 years. Loving mother to Gary and Glen (Susan). Proud grandmother to Katelyn and Blake. Evelyn will be missed by her nieces Cheryl, Jane and Gail as well as nephews Scott, Mark, Brent, Greg, Doug and Keith. Predeceased by her parents Richard and Emma Arndt, sisters Viola and Dorothy and nephews Brad and Brian. Throughout her life, Evelyn was an active member of the Lutheran Church and her beautiful voice was heard in the choir for many years. Evelyn devoted her free time as a volunteer at St. Mary's Hospital Foundation. Many joyful summers were spent in Sauble Beach and she will be missed at the cottage.
The family is forever grateful to the staff at Strathcona Long Term Care for their compassionate care.
Family and friends are welcome to celebrate the life of Evelyn on Thursday, August 11, 2022 from 1:30 - 3:30pm at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa Street South in Kitchener. A private family service will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to the St. Mary's General Hospital Foundation.
