Passed away at Grand River Hospital on Saturday, April 16, 2016, at the age of 85 years. Beloved husband of Elisabeth Altmayer (nee Scholin). Dear father of Robert, Anthony, and Bettina (Gary). Loved grandfather of Holly and Adam. Dear brother of Lisa (Albert), Mary, and Margaret (Don). Franz was a longtime employee for UniRoyal and retired after 30 years of service. Cremation has taken place. Franz’s family will receive relatives and friends at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, (519-743-8900), on Saturday, May 7, 2016 from 2:00 – 2:45 pm, where the memorial service will be held in the chapel at 3:00 pm, with Pastor Michael Zenker officiating.
