Dear Sherri and Family,
My greatest condolences in the sudden and tragic loss of your beloved Mother. I hope it gives you peace to have just spent such a wonderful and loving weekend all together doing what she loved to do most and secondly knowing that she is in a better place, a place with The Lord, no more suffering , unhappiness , just joy, love and peace! I'm sure she is waiting anxiously for the day she will see you all again !

I've never had to deal with the loss of someone I love. I never knew what it would feel like and I never knew how I would react if I ever had to go through it. My grandmother was a very special person to me and to everyone in my family. All of us definitely had something special with her in our own way. I would tell my Grammy anything and everything. One thing I have always loved about her was she would listen, no matter what it was or how long I would talk for, she always listened to me. The way she looked at me when I would tell her a story was like she never wanted me to stop telling it. I will miss that more than anything. One of my greatest memories is the week I spent with her while she was living in Barrie. We spent a week together visiting people she knew; I met a few new friends as well. We exchanged stories about what was happening in our lives at that time. I had never felt closer to my grandmother. I didn't want to leave her house after that week; it was so nice to be able to spend it with someone that I could have so much fun with. At that time I was going through some things with my parents and it was hard for me to talk to anyone, but my grandma was always there. After I had left her house I called her everyday after that. We talked for hours on the phone and wished I could've spent the rest of the summer with her. As the years go by you grow older, you get a job, you meet someone new and start a relationship, you get a new phone then soon your world becomes consumed with nothing but your web of social media and are blind to what matters most in your life. Then eventually you grow distant from family members you couldn't wait to see when you were younger. I feel guilty not spending time to talk to my grandmother when she always had time to talk to me.  I wish I had always called my grandma as much as I could. My last day with you was spent with you at my house listening to my stories of course. My last moment with you was bringing your phone to you after you had left it when you were leaving. My last words were “I love you, drive safe.”  I deeply wish we spent more time together that day Grammy.  My message to my family… friends… every one out there. Spend as much time you can with your loved ones. Tell them how much they mean to you often; hug them whenever you get the chance. Call them as often as you should. Smile and laugh and enjoy life just as you want. Life problems will come and go, when you're with your family put your phone away and talk to those who you are with. Don't take the time you have with them for granted because you never know when they will be called home. When I heard the news about you Grammy I couldn't help but sit and cry for hours. I felt hopeless. I felt that in some way it was my fault. I am so sad that I didn't get to spend that last weekend with you like my cousins, aunts and mom and get to hug you and tell you how much I love you. I am grateful that they got to spend one last time with you in such a wonderful way.  I can't describe what it feels like thinking about you leaving this world and being somewhere that isn't here with me, with your family. My heart is aching wishing I could call you and talk to you about my day and about my life. I miss you so much Grammy and the thought of you not being here is killing me. But, I am so thankful that we made beautiful and cheerful memories together. That we laughed and we danced, and we spent amazing times together. I smile, I will even shed a tear here and there every time I think of you and I will continue to smile knowing you are my guardian angel. I hope you are up in heaven dancing with Elvis, in your gold mansion with no more suffering and no more pain. I can't wait to see you one day Grammy. We will be together again.  But for now, I will always miss you.

You were so much fun, kind, loving and gentle.  You always had a joyful laugh and a kind giving heart.  We never heard an unkind word from you.  
Our Mommy is awesome and awesome mothers come from awesome grandmothers. 
I wonder what it is like in heaven and what your house looks like?  I bet you painted it pink!
I'm glad that in heaven you have new knees.  We hope you're having fun in heaven with Jesus.

Grammy was an extraordinary woman. She was always there for you no matter what. She would always make it to every family event no matter how small or big it was.... she was there. She was someone you would call when you were having a bad day and you would end up talking for hours as she tried to make you feel better. One fond memory I have of Grammy is when ever I would phone her, before we hang up we would keep saying goodbye until someone hung up. Grammy was always the first one to hang up after we had said goodbye at least 20 times, and every time she hung up I had already began to miss her. Although I knew I was going to see her again I always had that urge to phone her back and tell her something I had forgotten just so I could talk to her for another 30 minutes.... When I heard the news about Grammy it felt like she had finally hung up. Everyday I want to call her, to hear her voice one more time just for a second, to tell her how my day went and how much I love her. Although I cant call her anymore I know that she is still with me and that she sees everything, and she knows how much I love her.... I miss you Grammy with all my heart and not a day goes by that I don't think of you I love you.

Hello All,
A lot of you here knew my grandma in many different ways; yet when anyone talks about her, a few words stand out; kind, loving, beautiful, and to...um..talkative. My grandmother was the most amazing woman when it came to making sure people knew that they were loved and thought about every day. Whether it would be that phone call just to catch up, or a nice lunch date; chances are she would bring up one of her daughters or grandkids. She was always talking about how proud she was with a genuine excitement that truly showed the depth of her affection for everyone of us. It was amazing how great an impact just one hour of your time had on my grammy. Every time she would come back from a visit with her friends she had a plethora of stories to tell; always eager to share the next time we saw her. My grammy and I have been through quite a lot together; some fun times, some sad. Others funny, and sometimes crazy. But y fondest memory of my grammy will be of her holding my son. All the times in the past month that she was "just driving by" and "thought that we needed somme tissue paper" anything to have an excuse to hold my boy. Though I can count it as a personal tragedy that my son will never get to know her, I count it as a blessing that I have something to eagerly talk about with him. That I with that genuine excitement about my beautiful grand ma-ma. I would like to  leave you all with this..life is a gift, full of excitement and wonder. Honor those who have gone before you, hep those who have fallen behind. And never stop searching for the beauty in tragedy.

  I wanted to drop a note to the Greenwood family.  I was driving home the day of the car accident that Gail was involved in.  I did not see the accident happen, but was at the scene shortly after it happened.  I wanted the family to know that I stayed with Gail until the paramedics came and to let them know that she wasn't alone.  Iam so sad for the loss and wanted to pass on my thoughts aand prayers to her family.

Daughter 's Eulogy

Today we celebrate the life of our beautiful mom, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend.
To us, her four daughters , she was more than just a mother. She was a sounding board, a fashion expert, a taxi driver, a therapist, comedian, babysitter, laundry expert, and of course, friend.
We know she is happy now in heaven, dancing with Elvis on her new knees! Listening at the feet of Jesus, singing her favorite songs with the angels!
But we will miss her terribly. We will miss how contagious her laugh was, how excited she was to be with her children and grandchildren, and her amazing generosity , to name a few.
Our sadness today is not for our mom because we know she's in her glory decorating her new mansion!  We have tears and aching hearts thinking how much we'll miss her loving spirit and joy she brought to  those around her.
She was always the one who kept everyone up to date, once mom knew, we all knew, hence the nickname  Distribu- Gail! 
She was organized to a fault, with a brilliant memory, and would jump at the chance to show off her math skills or give motherly advise, whether we wanted it or not!
She loved to spoil her children and grandchildren more than anything, and we knew she was always our biggest fan. 
Always up for anything, never missed a chance to spend time with us. Ball games, concerts, Christmas plays, Grandparents Days, hospital trips, swimming lessons, graduations or babysitting, you could always count on her to be there for you. 
So today we're here for her, to celebrate her life, as she has moved on to her true home in Heaven. 
We thank God for giving us the best good-bye we could have asked for.
We had all just spent an amazing mother- daughter and grand-daughter weekend together, filled with laughter, facials, manicures, shopping, campfires, S'mores, going to church, singing, dancing, and of course Elvis!
Within an hour of leaving us , that sunny afternoon, she was with the angels.
We miss you mom, but we know you will always be with us in spirit, watching over us and loving us.
