Gerald "Gerry" John Bernoski

Beloved husband of Diane Bernoski (nee Francis) of 52 years. Loving Father to sons Brian Bernoski and his wife Angela Bernoski (Cook) and son Billy Jack Bernoski and his partner Tracey Hennick. Predeceased by his parents, Jerome Bernoski and Anna Marie Bernoski, Brother Harold Bernoski, Sisters, Corinne Huber, and Laurine Usher. Survived by his sister Jerinne Scherrer and her husband Brian and many nieces and nephews. Proud Grandfather to Julia, Amber, Victoria and Ash-lee, Austin, Dakota, and Kendra.

“Grumpy” as the family lovingly called him was super proud of his family and if you ever ran into him at the coffee shop, he was quick to pull out his wallet or his phone to show off a few pictures. Nothing made him happier than a surprise visit from any of his family, but especially from his grand and great grandchildren.

Gerry worked as a truck driver for Uniroyal Goodrich, Al’s Cartage and then Boehmer Box Corporation where he eventually retired from. Gerry enjoyed playing darts and cards, socializing, and car races. He often volunteered at the school or church and was a well-respected member of his community.

Gerry’s family will receive relatives and friends for Visitation from 10 to 11am on Thursday, January 4th, at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre (1001 Ottawa St. S, Kitchener, ON N2E 2X5, 519-743-8900) followed by the Funeral at 11am. Gerry wishes to be cremated and a celebration of life will be announced at a later date by the family.
