Jack’s final weeks were spent just as he always most loved to enjoy his life - in his home buzzing with the company of family and friends.
Left to mourn his loving heart and childlike wonder are his beloved wife of 41 years, Jean Arruda and his three grateful children; Michelle Luelo (Michael), Robert Baker and Grant Baker (Grace), cherished sisters Toni Faulkner (Brian), Liz Arruda and Marg Frank (Shawn) and his many adored nieces and nephews.
Grandfather to nine grandchildren and their partners - Annysa (Josh), Rebecca (Dalan), Kate (Dan), Ethan, Tyler (Teanna), Ayden, Riley, Bryce and Mimi - all who will remember Papa with joy-filled hearts whenever they watch fireworks in the sky or bubbles floating by.
Some of Jack’s most memorable days were spent in the company of his dear friends Wayne and Yvonne Buller who walked beside him right to the very end.
Jack is predeceased by his parents Tony and Maria Arruda and niece Annette Gomes, who held a special place in her uncle Jack’s heart.
Our family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to nurse Allison and the entire Care Partners Team. Their compassion and care, coupled with the support and dedication of Hospice Waterloo Region allowed us to fulfill Jack’s wishes to pass peacefully at home.
