

Jim is now reunited with his beloved wife Margaret (2004), and his cherished sons Joe (2014) and Michael (2017). Loving father to Chris (Heather) of Alberta and Bernadette (David) Muranko of Ayr, Jim will be deeply missed by his daughters-in-law Marlaine and Karen.
Proud Grandpa to Andrew (Cheyenne), Brooke, Matthew (Carling), Kimberly (Eric), Shelby (Kevin), and Randi (Eric), and treasured Great-Grandpa to Maximus, Cecilia, Colton, Conner, Caoimhe, Mara, Ava, Lincoln, Alex, Colson, and Catherine. He will also be fondly remembered by his sisters Theresa (Rick) and Maryanne (Ken, d. 2017), along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Jim was predeceased by his parents, Lewis and Anna Tomlin.
A proud and dedicated member of the Canadian Armed Forces, Jim served as a Captain with the Second Field Engineer Regiment. His commitment to service extended well beyond his military career. He was a Fourth Degree Knight in Kitchener with the Knights of Columbus and was one of the original organizers of archery at the Bogenschützenfest, an event he took great pride in supporting. Jim was also an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion in Tillsonburg and volunteered faithfully with pastoral care at St. Mary’s General Hospital, offering comfort and compassion to those in need.
Jim will be remembered for his quiet strength, deep faith, unwavering dedication to family, and his lifelong commitment to serving others.
Visitation will take place at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St., S., Kitchener, on Tuesday, February 24th, from 2–4 p.m. and 6–8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Parish on Wednesday, February 25, at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow.
