Laura & family,

I am deeply saddened to hear of Jack's passing. He was an amazing father and family friend to us.
I have fond memories of joining your family at a summer cottage rental where we all squeezed into one cottage, sharing bedrooms with the kids and tossing pillows and whatever else we could get a hold of across the open rafters to the adjoining room. Jack was a great host and made sure that all the kids were having fun.
Jack, Laura and my parents (Norma & Barry) gathered regularly for bridge, golf and having a few laughs at each other home. I recall Jack teasing me and he always had a smile on his face. A very positive guy and always seem to enjoy life to its fullest.
May he rest in peace and be with Jeff.

Our sincere condolences to Laura & her family on Jacks’ passing.
We fondly remember Jack as a co- worker with Barry at the CRA. & the many social functions we enjoyed as families together.
Jack was always the competitor, whether at bridge, bowling or golf.
We cherish the memories of late night house parties after bowling & the family vacations together at Sauble & Ipperwash.
We hope Jack finds a good bridge partner wherever he may be.

Sorry we can't be there to express our feelings in person. When David said to us that he "liked" Jack I think that is the best thing that you say about someone. I liked those times on the golf course getting schooled by Jack. He has a distinctive quiet chuckle which was uniquely Jack. I am sure that Laura will dearly miss him who was a lifetime companion by her side. That will be tough. But I am sure that the rest of the children will rally to support her. It says something that they had one phone number in the same house for a what is more than a lifetime for others. It speaks to how durable their relationship serves as an example for the rest of us. RIP from Pat and Wally.

Laura and family,

My heartfelt sympathy on the loss of your beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather.
While I didn’t work with Jack he was by far one of the nicest people I knew while working at CRA. He always had time or made time for those of us who sought out his knowledge and opinion.

I hope the love and support of family and friends help you navigate through this very sad and difficult time.

Hello Laura, Shelley, Jim and John,
I was really sorry to hear about Jack’s passing. Jack was always a warm and friendly uncle who took time to get to know me on each occasion we met - even when I was still pretty young. In this era of technology it’s nice to keep tabs on family back in Ontario, but it’s hard to hear about the ones we have lost. Big hugs to all of you and you will all be in our thoughts this weekend.
Love, Trev, Erin, Violet and Fox
