Joe was known for his quiet kindness, and his lifelong love of baseball and hockey. He followed the games closely and never missed a chance to talk sports with anyone who shared the passion.
He is survived by his sister, Paula Kleehaas (nee Garger); his nieces Brenda Jackson (nee Kleehaas) and her husband Gerald, and Kathleen Mustin (nee Kleehaas) and her husband Steven; and his great-nephews Nicholas Jackson, Ryan Jackson, Shawn Jackson, and Cody Jackson and his partner Carlee Hughes.
He was predeceased by his sister Maria Weiner, brother Stephan and his parents Paul and Maria.
A private celebration of life will be held for the family.
