Kenneth Brighton

Peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, at his home on Sunday, September 29th in his 69th year, Ken Brighton, dearly loved soul mate and husband of Linda (nee Bell). Much loved dad to Julie Irvine (Kevin), Jennifer Brighton – Giulietti (Dan), Neil Henderson and Gary Henderson (Nicole). Loving grandpa to Axel, Rachel, Roman, Sophia, Olivia and Odessa. He will also be missed by his four legged buddies Linkin and Hoover.

Ken is lovingly remembered by his siblings Bob (Jean) and Bonnie Rucha (Joe) and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Beulah Dell (nee Fried) and Lorne Clare Brighton, brothers Earl and Roly (Isobel) and by his sister Pat Linn (Bill). Ken was a dedicated employee of Babcock Wilcox for 46 years before his retirement in 2009, he enjoyed NASCAR races, hunting, spending time at the trailer and on the water, as well as riding his Harley.

Family and Friends will be received at the Westmount Funeral Chapel, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, 519-743-8900, on Wednesday October 2nd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Thursday October 3rd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday October 4th at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Bonnie Shelter-Brown of St. James Lutheran Church, New Dundee. Cremation will follow with interment of cremated remains at New Dundee Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre would be greatly appreciated.
