OBITUARY

Larry Stecho

October 29, 1939July 13, 2015

Passed away peacefully at Sunnyside Home on Monday, July 13, 2015 at the age of 75. Beloved husband to Joyce Padington and cherished father to Rodney (Laura), and Kevin. Papa Larry leaves precious memories with John, Thomas, Jack, Claire, Linda (Robert), Nelson (Rose), Pamela, and Cheryl (David). He is predeceased by his parents John and Charlotte Stecho and will be sadly missed by many other family and friends.

Larry was a longtime member of St. Peter’s Lutheran church where he sang in the choir, an employee at J.M. Schneider for many years as well as being heavily involved with Scouts Canada.

Cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends will be received at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre (1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener) on Thursday, July 16 from 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, July 17 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery.

Donations in memory of Larry may be made to Scouts Canada, St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, or to the Sunnyside Foundation.

It was always a pleasure to have Scouter Larry attend one of our meetings. He was a patient guide to me as a Scouting leader, and always willing to pitch in and help with a group activity. His enthusiasm for working with young people set a great example.
