Passed on peacefully with family by her side to the life eternal on Friday, March 31, 2023. Her loving vocation in life was to be a wife and mother. Her rock was her faith in the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
Beloved wife of Henry Schleicher for 65 years. Dear mother of John, Rick (Annette), Gary (Kimberley), and Anita Nikelski (Peter). Loved grandmother of Katherine Callahan (Ryan), Kira Dennis (Drew), Alec Schleicher (Diane), Michelle Nikelski (Harry), and Steven Nikelski, and great grandmother of Charlie Callahan.
Predeceased by her dear parents Johan and Martha (née Wittmeier) Freiheit.
Dear sister of Frieda Repke (late Walter) and Rudy Freiheit (Elsie). Predeceased by her brother Erwin Freiheit (late Mary), Greta Freiheit, and John Freiheit.
Loni was 85 years old. She was born near Lodz Poland and lived most of her life in Kitchener. Most recently she was a resident of Lanark Heights Long Term Care.
Loni's family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, April 6, 2023 from 10:00 - 10:45 a.m. at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, (519-743-8900), where the funeral service will be held in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. Service will be viewable via livestream at this link: https://fweb.tv/99258
A time of refreshment and fellowship will then be held, followed by the interment at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Kitchener.
